So if you want to know a little bit about
me, you have come to the right place!
I have just started my career as
Assistant Professor of Mathematics here at High Point
University. I am from San Diego, CA and Raleigh, NC and did my
undergraduate work at the University of Arkansas,
where I earned a B.S. in applied math with a minor in education. I swam
competitively for the Lady Razorbacks and I
am a die hard Arkansas fan, Wooooo Pig Sooie!
I then moved to Raleigh, NC and started my graduate work at NC State. I received my M.S. in applied math and then my Ph.D. in 2007 in Math
from NC State. I was married in 2002 to Eric Zack, a cross country runner from Buffalo, NY who I met my
freshman year in college. Eric now works as a radiation safety officer at UNC-Chapel Hill.
I have a few hobbies on the side ... I
have coached swimming for over 5 years (currently not at the moment) at the
basic instructional level, summer swim team programs, and year round swim
teams. I also was an adjunct faculty member at Meredith College for 3 years
while working on my Ph.D. Currently, I am a wannabe
runner, frustrated golfer, and decent triathlete now and spend most of my free time working out.
