I have been at High Point University since August 2009.
From July 2007 to June 2009, I was an assistant professor of mathematics at the United States Military Academy at West Point.

Research Information

My general area of research is number theory. More specifically, I am interested in hypergeometric functions over finite fields and their relationships to other mathematical objects. Recently, I have been working on projects in cryptography and on mathematics related to games played with the cards EvenQuads. I have worked with undergraduate students on projects related to number theory, graph theory, and recreational mathematics. Aside from my mathematical research, I am also interested in flipped classrooms, growth mindset in introductory level college mathematics classrooms, and other math pedogogy projects.
